What’s going on around here?

Well, here we are coming up on the end of February already.  Just thought I’d throw a quick update out there of current happenings.  First up, for those of you near Seattle I will be playing a short solo electric guitar set on March 18th at the Blue Moon Tavern, (Wallingford/UW area of Seattle), 9pm.  I haven’t performed live in awhile, so it’s time to get out there and make some noise.  If you have the time, I would love to see you.  There will be other bands playing after me, most notably my friends band called The Rule of Groove they are an instrumental music trio with a fun funky vibe.  It will be a good time. UPDATE: I just found out there is a cover charge of $7 for this event.  I usually try to play venues that are free of charge but I guess that is not the case this time around.  Sorry!!   In other news, I’m still wrapped up in mixing two songs.  One is being done by me, (which is probably why it’s taking so long haha) I’m new at this mixing thing.  I can only do a little at a time then I have to put it away and wait 24-48 hours for the fresh ears to come back, otherwise I have noticed it’s very easy to get carried away, over tweak things and end up doing more harm than good!  The other song is waiting to be mixed by a good friend with much more mix experience than I will ever have.  But he is away in Nashville getting paid lots of money to make a record at the moment so that’s where it sits for now.  As I patiently wait my turn I have had new song ideas spinning through my head.  The music never stops its always there, time to start writing again. 🙂
